DRUID STUDIO is a full service
recording studio and label, bearing the same name.
We do not
specialize in a particular genre of music; after all we are here to
facilitate
the artist in
his / her endeavor in laying down and producing the best possible tracks
while
providing a
unique approach of live performance.
We Make Waves, Not
Bits
Today's
modern recording studio technology is 100% digital, all computerized and all
effects are
generated with
software. A typical studio environment is sterile, covered with grey
insulating
acoustic foam
and some times can be pretty intimidating thus not very conducive to
creativity.
We
do not use digital tricks; we believe in the artists
and his / her performance. We use classic
analog recording
technique with tapes and tube preamplifiers and racks of outboard
effects.
DRUID
STUDIO provides a unique, friendly
environment including a fireplace in the main
performance room. We like to think of a small
venue; the keyboards section features an
ambiance similar to a night club with special lighting specifically designed by Hendersen Research.
DRUID STUDIO has 80
analog input divided on 24 busses. Reengineered tube preamplifiers
complement
a first class
rack of vintage synthesizers and keyboards, including a rare sample work of a
Steinway
9 Ft grand made
in Germany in 1908. The sampling effort was painstakingly conducted at 48
bits
16
times for each key over a period of 5 months. We also have 20
feet of outboard rack effects
interconnected through a 400 points
hard-wired patch bay. All interconnects were especially
Cryo-Treated with the "OnE KelVin" process
DRUID STUDIO
strive in capturing the performance at the source using the
natural acoustics
of the
environment; we are not the "fix it in the mix" or "that software
effect will clean the signal"
studio. We strongly believe in the "live performance"
concept of recording.
Do we
say friendly?
Yep,
that we are indeed; We will even feed you home cooking between
sessions.
